With just seven regular-season games left, No. 2 UCLA is nearing a perfect Big Ten run after Sunday’s dominant 88-65 win over No. 8 Iowa.

  • Bruins reserve forward Angela Dugalić led the game with 22 points off the bench, as UCLA put up 56 points to extend their winning streak to 15.

  • “Angela [Dugalić] earned every single thing that happened today. Her work ethic is just undeniable,” said coach Cori Close. “The thing I’m so proud of is her consistency… doing the simplest things with elite consistency, that’s where I’ve seen the growth.” (Watch full highlights)

Charging ahead: After falling just short of last year’s regular-season title, UCLA is now riding a 11-0 Big Ten record, with five of their final seven games set to be played at home.

  • “The target is not on our backs,” Dugalić said. “We have a target on other people… we’re going into these gyms, these arenas, and people are coming to see us, they want to see a show, so we’re going to give them a show.”

Hitting the skids: Unbeaten in conference play prior to this recent 0-2 roadtrip, the loss saw Iowa cede their grip on the Big Ten standings to No. 9 Michigan, as the Wolverines prepare for their own Sunday showdown with UCLA.

The WNBA and the WNBPA are coming to the table, meeting in-person today as stalled CBA talks continue to delay offseason movement.

  • WNBPA executive committee members Nneka Ogwumike, Napheesa Collier, and Kelsey Plum are set to attend alongside league, team, and union leadership.

  • “I think we’ll learn a lot from this meeting,” Plum said on Friday. “I think everyone understands what’s at stake, timeline-wise.”

Tense times: The two parties appear to remain far apart on wedge topics like revenue sharing, three months after the previous CBA expired.

  • Today will reportedly mark the first time both sides have sat down in over a month, with offseason transactions left in limbo as other league operations continue under a status quo mechanism.

  • “At the end of the day, we’re human beings. I think conversation face-to-face goes a long way,” Plum continued. “I’m just excited for the opportunity to be able to be there in-person with other players that are really invested in this.”
